AND STILL YOU STAYED
You were my moment. Not the moment passed, but the one that remains, when I look to the sky as it bends its light to meet my eye… when I notice the worship of wind as it sways to the cadence of my breath… when I move to the rhythm that the light holds in its song… When an answer to the question I had not asked reminds me it still waits to tell me there was a moment, just one, that was never yours to give, And still, you stayed, until the end…

“Not the moment passed, but the one that remains” is such a beautiful idea. The poem feels like an exploration of the moments that continue speaking to us long after they should have faded. Thank you for sharing this.
This is lovely. This line really stayed with me “when I look to the sky as it bends its light to meet my eye…”
